Lean Six Sigma is a method for improving how work gets done. "Lean" removes waste and delay; "Six Sigma" reduces variation and defects using data. Together they give you a structured way — called DMAIC — to take a real problem and fix it so it stays fixed.
Most courses teach you someone else's case study. Sigma Belt Works starts with a real problem from your own job or life, and an AI coach guides you through solving it with DMAIC. You finish with an actual improvement you can show your team — not just a certificate.
White Belt is a free introduction to the language and ideas of Lean Six Sigma. Yellow Belt teaches you to define a problem, map a process, find root causes, and measure performance with real tools. Green Belt adds statistical analysis — control charts, process capability, and hypothesis testing — to prove what's driving a problem and confirm your fix works.
No. White and Yellow Belt assume no prior knowledge. The tools introduce the numbers gently, and the AI coach explains each step in plain language as you work through your own project.
Yes. White Belt is free with no card required — it's the front door. You only pay if you choose to continue to Yellow or Green Belt.
You earn a Sigma Belt Works Certificate of Completion for each belt you finish. Sigma Belt Works is an independent training provider and is not currently affiliated with ASQ, IASSC, or other certification bodies. More importantly, you finish with a completed improvement project of your own.
As you work through your project, an AI coach reviews what you enter — your problem statement, process map, data, and analysis — and gives you feedback and guidance, the way a mentor would. It's AI-guided support, available whenever you're working.
Yes. Sigma Belt Works is built for applying Six Sigma to real operations, which makes it a strong fit for teams — for example in BPO, call centres, and service operations — where each person can take on a real improvement in their own area. Get in touch about team access.
Yes. You can anonymise any confidential data before entering it, and your work is handled in line with our Privacy Notice (POPIA and GDPR). Your project is yours.
It's self-paced. The lessons are short; the real time goes into working your own DMAIC project — which is the point. You're producing a genuine improvement, not rushing to a quiz.
DMAIC is the five-step Lean Six Sigma roadmap: Define the problem, Measure how the process performs today, Analyse the data to find root causes, Improve the process, and Control it so the gains hold. Every Sigma Belt Works project follows it.
